Experimental Micro Galton Board

A Galton board demonstrates the central limit theorem: when balls fall through a triangular grid of pegs, they should settle into a bell curve.

Experimental Micro Galton Board

This is a Phase 1 prototype of a Galton Board designed for 6mm steel balls.

Current Status: Experimental

Please note that this is Version 1.0 and is still undergoing calibration.

The issue: in this current design, most balls tend to bounce toward the outermost (extreme) boxes rather than forming a curve in the center.

Technical Specifications

  • Mechanism: gravity-fed peg board with collection bins.
  • Design: compact, desktop-sized "probability machine."
